Paul Winn has a huge passion for blues music in all of its guises and has been playing in various blues bands in and around North Yorkshire for many years.  He is an accomplished Blues Harmonica player and vocalist and can be found playing with his band The Dead Cats in venues & festivals throughout the region. His band have provided the support slots for Nine Below Zero, Matt Parker, Dr Feelgood, King King, Marcus Bonfanti, Sari Schorr & more.

Paul is also the promoter/organiser for North Yorkshire based Ryedale Blues Club which is based at The Milton Rooms in Malton.

Paul fell in to broadcasting quite by chance after appearing as a guest on Vale Radio FAB Folk & Blues show and was asked by the presenter if he was interested in becoming his understudy. Naturally Paul jumped at this chance and as a result hosted Vale radio's FAB Folk & Blues 3rd hour “Blues, Bands & Beyond” every Monday between 10-11PM. His appreciation of good music is plain to hear and his quick wit and relaxed approach to broadcasting makes for an entertaining show. Paul takes the opportunity to invite & promote local blues musicians to play live on air whenever he can and has a conversational approach to interviews (Paul often joins in with his guests performances on Harmomica and has been known to provide backing vocals).

Paul now hosts a weekly 2hr Blues Show every Monday night 8-10pm on York based radio station Jorvik FM
